Terry Frei is still dumbfounded by the oversight of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  Even with Gary Zimmerman, this is the biggest farce in professional sports.

Gradishar admits he was disappointed that the call never came.

Champ Bailey is getting ready for some press coverage in getting John Lynch to return.

Another example of just how the Broncos get screwed by the NFL?  One year ago three Broncos asked the League to wear Darrent Williams' #27 at the Pro Bowl.  The League turned down the request.    Now, three Redskins made the same request, and were granted approval to wear Sean Taylor's #21.  I guess the value of someone's life, and death, are determined by where you play and how popular you are.  Stay classy, NFL.

It would be nice if someone, anyone, would recognize the Broncos back-to-back Championship teams from a decade ago.

A Super Bowl upset usually means hard times for Las Vegas.

Mike Shanahan needs to learn some patience with his coaches.

Upcoming Labor unrest is a real possibility come next fall.

What does a sagging economy need?  The Broncos back in the Super Bowl.

h.o.f. (de-emphasis added)
I was just thinking about this the other day. People say there is a bias for and against certain teams when it comes to h.o.f. selection. I try to be objective. But then I think of all the great Broncos who have celebrated their careers here. Of course, Floyd Little is the single most terrible omission in a long list of shameful oversights. Gradishar is a very closed second on that list. I think Terrel Davis belongs high on any list. Perhaps one of the most over looked ever, even during his career, has to be Simon Fletcher. But look at this list of others. Lyle Alzado, Steve Atwater, Keith Bishop, Bill Bryan, Barney Chavous, Goose Gonsoulin, Rich Jackson, Tom Jackson, Rulon Jones, Karl Mecklenburg, Haven Moses, Riley Odoms, Bill Romanowski, Dennis Smith, Paul Smith, Bob Swenson, Lionel Taylor, Billy Thompson, Steve Watson, Alfred Williams, Louis Wright, Some greats that came to us later in their careers like Craig Morton, Neil Smith and Jim Turner? ANd I'm just getting started. Granted many of these players had flaws but I can't believe there isn't even one more in that group that isn't h.o.f. material.

Jack,,,,
I would love to get an idea from you just how good that defense was, especially in '77.  Feel free to e-mail me @ milehighreport@gmail.com and I will post the story to the front page.  I just think there are alot of younger Broncos fans, like me, who would love to hear more about it.

Don't know if I should post a diary for this...
But on a subject not on football, my dad and I have been working on producing a show for awhile now, and we are going to do a Sneak Preview for it on February 16th in Denver. The website is www.notthisday.com if you are interested in learning more...tickets for this event are FREE!! We'll be putting six scenes from the show onstage along with some commentary on how we got here, what the show is about, etc. It's going to be awesome.
If anyone wants more details, either check out the website or e-mail me.

And as for a post super bowl hangover?  Yeah...I do...I was rooting for the Patriots, actually, but I wasn't TOO upset about the loss. I'm just trying to keep my sanity until this sneak peek is over. :)
