Tatum Bell To Steal Lion's Money For Another Season
Unable to get a deal done with Julius Jones, the Detroit Lions re-signed RB Tatum Bell. Bell, a complete bust for the Broncos was traded to the Lions, along with OL George Foster, in a deal to acquire CB Dre Bly last Re-Building Season.
The deal calls for Bell to get $1.6 million for 1 year, which comes just days after Foster received a 1 year/$1.1 million contract to remain in Motown.
With Kevin Jones coming off a torn ACL, Bell will be given the chance to start this season. He started four games for the Lions in 2007 and had 182 yards on 44 carries last year.
In his final season with the Broncos in 2006, Bell had 1,025 yards and a 4.4-yard average. On any given play, Bell has the ability to break a long run because he has great speed and elusiveness. He also has an uncanny talent to fumble in key moments.
If Bell has a great season, he is hoping to hit a big payday in 2009.
Keep hoping <fum>Bell....Keep hoping...

I hate to be a buzzkill, but
How is that saying? One man's garbage is another man's treasure? Perhaps Tatum has found a good home in Detroit. Perhaps he has perfected the ability to go down before anyone touches him, therefore, making him fumble less. ;)
