Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins was elected into the Clemson University Athletic Hall of Fame.
Ed McCaffrey, Brian Dawkins, and Coach Jack Del Rio are not only known for their leadership on the football field but for taking that leadership to a new level by supporting great charities like the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. See the difference they are making in the lives of others. That my friends is better than any touchdown. Hats off to the Denver Broncos cheerleaders as well.
The Denver Broncos 2012 season has officially begun at Dove Valley. Now that the NFL draft is complete and free agent signings are slowing down, Danny and Shadd share their thoughts on the new look Broncos.
I wanted to take a second and recognize this great Bronco safety. The Eagles were fools to part ways with this catalyst, this supernova-hit-dealing monster, this LEGEND. Their loss was our gain, and he became the beating heart of our defense. Now Dawkins is hurt boys...I mean really hurt. He has tingling and numbness in his fingers weeks after aggravating an old neck injury (see 7:30 into the video). This is the type of injury that forces great players to leave the game they love. I hope he returns to play for us, but in case he doesn't I hope the Broncos follow his example and leave their guts on the field like this man has done for 16 seasons. Watch this video and tell me you don't wish you could be on the field with this warrior. He played OUT of his MIND for us this season, and we need our team to harness that intensity and UNLEASH it on the Steelers this weekend. LETS SHOW THE STEELERS HOW WE GET DOWN! LETS SET IT OFF DENVER! LIGHT...THEM...UP! Leave your favorite Dawkin's moment as a Bronco in the comments. If you're a man of faith, say a prayer for Dawk's health and for the safety of the teams this weekend. No one deserves to go out like that.
Wow. Just ran across this watching Brian Dawkins highlights on Youtube. Wesley Woodyard gots jokes! ROFL
It doesn't matter what, outside this locker room, they're saying about this team. We make our own reality in work, the way we practice, the way we prepare, and the way we play on game day. So people can continue to talk about us in the negative. That's fine. We don't believe in that.
"If my job is to penetrate in this gap then I am going to do that because I know my guy beside me is doing the same exact thing in his gap. If that’s the mentality that everybody is taking care of their gap and dominating their gap then we are going to be a pretty good doggone defense and create turnovers along the way."
