A Few Good Questions With....Adam Schein, Sirius NFL Radio

This week's Questions segment is proud to welcome Adam Schein, co-host of the Afternoon Blitz, 3-7PM EST Monday through Friday on Sirius NFL Radio.  If you have ever listened to Channel 124 on the satellite radio provider you know who Adam is.  The channel is easily worth the price of a subscription alone and is a great resource for all football fans.  Adam was kind enough to answer some questions about the Broncos, and the upcoming game against the Colts.

MHR -- First, let me say, you guys do a great job on Sirius NFL Radio, and I highly recommend to anyone to get a subscription to Sirius just for channel 124.  What's it been like doing the shows, The Afternoon Blitz and the Tailgate Show, and what's it like to partner with guys like John Riggins before, to now hosting with Solomon Wilcots and Jim Miller?

AS -- I love the people I work with at Sirius.  I had a blast with John for 2 years.  He is a great guy and we had a great rapport.  It's tough to replace that type of chemistry in radio, but we did with Solomon and Jim.  Solomon is brilliant, has strong opinions, and gets what radio is about.  We have an unbelievable chemistry.  Working with Jim is a treat.  He sees the game from a very interesting perspective and has an addicting personality that really clicks with me and our listeners.

MHR -- With the whirl-wind surrounding the QB position in Denver, what do you have to say to fans that think Mike Shanahan should replace Jake Plummer despite the team being 5-1?  Should the events going on in Dallas right now be a warning to Bronco fans that the grass isn't always greener?

AS -- I like Jay Cutler a lot.  I saw him during our training camp tour.  I spent a lot of time with him and Coach Shanahan.  I think he's going to be great for the Broncos for a long time, starting next year.  But for now, at 5-1, I'd stick with Jake.

MHR -- Denver's defense is off to a historic start.  Are you a believer in this defense?  Do you think the style they play matches up well with the top offenses in the league, starting this Sunday against Peyton Manning and Co.?

AS -- I love this defense.  It's the deepest in the NFL.  Al Wilson is one of the best defenders in the league this season.  The linebacker core is speedy and swarms to the ball.  Champ Bailey is a star and Darrent Williams is blossoming into one.  And to have Domonique Foxworth as your nickel back in a huge plus.  John Lynch is still a great player and leader.  And I've been impressed with how the linemen can get to the QB.  Elvis Dumervil was a find.  With all that said, especially when you focus on the DBs, I like how the Broncos match-up.

MHR -- Mike Shanahan is slowly creeping up the "All-Time Wins" ladder.  What are your thoughts on Shanny, and where would you rank him among existing coaches, and the all-time greats?

AS -- I think Mike Shanahan is brilliant.  He's one of the smartest people in this game.  And he's very upfront.  He is a simply a top 5 coach in the NFL today.

MHR -- looked prime to challenge the Broncos for the AFC West crown.  How big will the impending loss of Shawne Merriman be to the race, especially now that he could possibly miss both meetings with the Broncos this season?

AS -- Shawne Merriman is a difference maker.  If he misses the games against the Broncos, that could help decide the division.  But it looks like Shaun Philips will be healthy.  I'll likely pick San Diego at home and Denver when the game is at Mile High.

MHR -- Prediction Time - Colts V. Broncos, You do you think has the advantage, and who do you like this weekend?

AS -- Broncos by a field goal.  I love this Denver defense and Tatum Bell this weekend.  Plus, I think Javon Walker has a huge day.

Thanks again to Adam Schein, and if you are a Sirus subscriber make sure to check Adam and the gang on Channel 124.  If you are not, what are you waiting for?!?
