Mike Shanahan has made several changes to the Broncos defensive coaching staff so far this off-season. Now there is an opening on the offensive side. Tight Ends Coach Tim Brewster will be named the new head coach at the University of Minnesota.
Brewster has coached the Broncos' tight ends since 2005, and held the same position with San Diego the three seasons prior.
Though Brewster has a bunch of college experience, it was a bit of a surprise to me to see Brewster actually get the job, in a similar way that I was surprised Karl Dorrell was hired at UCLA.
In any case, congratulations to Brewster, and let the search begin for another assistant opening.
