It's that time again, the beginning of the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction process, a time for Broncos fans to be pissed. Once again the Broncos have 4 names on the preliminary list of 124 players, coaches and contributers, and once again there is a feeling in the air that "this year could be different".
Gary Zimmerman, Terrell Davis, Randy Gradishar and Louis Wright have made the list, which will be cut to 25 next month. Perhaps working in our favor this year is a light year in incoming eligibility. Of the latest group to be out of the league at least five years, the only guys that seem to be sure-fire would be Cris Carter and Darrell Green, and to say either is a sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer is not a gimme.
Will this be the year that one of the great injustices in sports history gets rectified, at least a bit? Only time will tell but I won;t hold my breath...
