ESPN.com is reporting the Broncos have signed former Indianapolis Colts' receiver Brandon Stokley to a 1-year deal. When healthy Stokely was one of the best 3rd receivers in the NFL, but health has always been a problem.
Stokley amassed only 8 catches for 85 yards in 2006, playing in only 5 games for the Colts due to a medical book full of injuries, the most serious a torn achilles tendon that ended his season.
This is another Shanahan special. If Stokley can regain his form the Broncos will have a solid slot receiver. If not, there isn't alot of risk involved other than about $1 million in salary. Another solid move that could prove huge if things fall into place...
