CBS4/Broncos Extend Relationship

For those of you who live in the Denver metropolitan area this might be of interest.  For guys like me, not so much.

CBS4 announced today that the station has been named the Broncos' official television partner through 2010 in an extended agreement with the Denver Broncos and the station will air 17 of 20 Denver Broncos games this season as well as five locally produced programs each week.

"We are delighted to extend our current partnership with CBS4 through 2010," Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said.  "As a CBS owned and operated station, CBS4 has the rights to simulcast the ESPN games this year and will televise a record number of games in 2007 providing tremendous continuity of programming for our fans."

"It's an exciting year for the station," CBS4 General Manager Walt DeHaven said. "We are the only local station airing the Denver Broncos from the first pre-season game on August 13  through October 21 and we are producing five great programs that will give Denver Broncos fans and CBS4 viewers comprehensive and exciting Broncos coverage and an up-close look at some of the hottest local football stars."

Four ESPN games will be simulcast on CBS4 and include the opening pre-season game on Monday, Aug. 13, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. (Denver at San Francisco); Monday, October 29 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. (Green Bay at Denver); Monday, November 19 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. (Tennessee at Denver) and December 24 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. (Denver at San Diego.)
The remaining three Broncos preseason games are being produced by CBS4 and include the Broncos vs. Cowboys on Saturday August 18; the Broncos vs. Browns on Saturday, August 25 and the Broncos vs. Cardinals on Thursday, August 30.  CBS4 Sports Anchor Vic Lombardi will host CBS4 pre-season coverage.  Sports Reporter Gary Miller returns to the booth for play-by-play duties and former Broncos player and CBS4 Weekend Anchor Reggie Rivers will offer color commentary. CBS4 will air 13 of 16 regular season games.

Broncos Preview --  
Airs Saturdays at 6:30pm -- Premieres Saturday, Aug. 8, 2007

CBS4 has added a new program to its Broncos lineup.  Broncos Preview takes a hard look at the state of the Broncos and their opponent each week before the big game.  CBS4 Weekend Anchor Reggie Rivers hosts this half hour dedicated to the X's and O's of Broncos football.  Broncos General Manager Ted Sundquist appears each week with inside information on the team and the upcoming game.  

Chevy All Access --  
Airs Sundays at 10:35 p.m. -- Premieres Sunday, Aug. 9, 2007

Only one TV station can take you behind the scenes after every Broncos game. Chevy All Access on CBS4 is the home for exclusive coverage from the sidelines to the locker room bringing you action up close.  If you want to be in Mike Shanahan's post game talk to the team, only Chevy All Access can take you there. CBS4's Vic Lombardi hosts this half hour of highlights, interviews and analysis.  Broncos Insider Gary Miller goes beyond the score to breakdown a critical aspect of each week's game.  Reggie Rivers draws up the key plays that determine the outcome.

Ford Countdown to Kickoff --
Airs Sundays at 9:30am -- Premieres Sunday, Aug. 9, 2007

Ford Countdown to Kick-Off, Denver's only pre-game show, returns for its ninth season as the final word on the Broncos before each Sunday game.  Reggie Rivers hosts this half hour preview.  CBS4's Vic Lombardi and Gary Miller will be live at the stadium to provide last minute information on strategy, injuries and even weather conditions.  

Qwest John Lynch Live! --  
Airs Monday's at 6:30 p.m. -- Premieres Monday, Aug. 10, 2007

Each Monday night, Broncos All-Pro Safety John Lynch joins CBS4 to breakdown Sunday's game and look ahead to next week's opponent.  The show airs live from Old Chicago in Littleton and fans are always welcome to join CBS4 on site.  Hear John's take on how the Broncos fared, watch as he diagrams some of the key plays and meet one of his teammates who will join us live on the show.  Fans will get a chance to interact with John, the player guest and maybe even have their question read live on the air.

The Mike Shanahan Show Presented by Subaru --  
Airs Saturdays at 6 p.m. -- Premieres Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007

Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan talks strategy every week on CBS4. For inside information before every Broncos game, the Mike Shanahan show is the place to be. CBS4's Gary Miller is the host as we breakdown the keys to victory, watch as the coach diagrams major plays and find out which players could be the difference makers.

As the official station of the Denver Broncos, CBS4 will continue to have exclusive rights to all pre-season telecasts not done by a national network partner, along with exclusive rights to use Broncos marks, logos, video and other elements in non-news programming. In addition, CBS4 will continue to partner with the team in community service programming.
