Jaguars @ Broncos -- Game Day Open Thread -- 2nd Quarter

     @

Date: Sunday, September 23, 2007

Time: 4:05 p.m. ET

Teams: Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1) at Denver Broncos (2-0)

Location: Invesco Field @ Mile High -- Denver, CO

Jaguars Second Drive cont.... --

--Jags enter the 2nd Quarter with a First and Goal opportunity...
--A 21 - 3 play differential doesn't speak well of the defense later in the game...
--Garrard's TD pass give the Jags the lead on the longest drive I have ever seen. Broncos offense needs to sustain something just to give the defense a rest...
Jaguars 7 - BRONCOS 0

Broncos Second Drive --

--Brandon Marshall is quickly becoming a star in this league and the Broncos are moving in for an answer to the Jags' TD
--Marshall again, this time bringing the Broncos into the Red Zone
--The trip doesn't last long thanks to a holding penalty. Broncos keep kicking themselves in the foot
--Why even give the ball to Mike Bell?? Really!
--Brandon Marshall, ARE YOU KIDDING ME???An amazing play has the Broncos on the verge of tying the game
--Two plays later the Broncos get the tying score, a pass from Cutler to Nate Jackson!!!
TOUCHDOWN BRONCOS!!! BRONCOS 7 - Jaguars 7

Jaguars Third Drive --

--The Special Teams unit rears it's ugly head and give the Jags great field position. Champ bailey saves the day again....
--Time for the defense to make a play. Gotta start making plays and winning at the point of attack...
--Another 3rd down for the Jags, and the Broncos strategy of sitting back is allowing the Jags to make play after play and keep drives alive.
--Again, way too much time for Garrard. Broncos need to start bringing extra guys
--3rd and long, on the fringe of field goal range. Big play...
--Again, the defense CANNOT get to Garrard and he has all the time in the world to make the play
--Complete domination by the Jags offense, and win or lose, remember who we play next week...
TWO MINUTE WARNING -- BRONCOS 7 - Jaguars 7
--Way too easy, right up the middle for Jacksonville and the Broncos defense has shown no sign that they'll be able to stop the jags offense today...
Jaguars 14 - BRONCOS 7

Broncos Third Possession --

--Not good. A solid play and beginning to a drive ends with the fumble and the Jags will have a great shot to extend their lead...

Jaguars Fourth Drive

--Broncos do well just to hold the Jags to 3.
HALFTIME -- Jaguars 17 -- BRONCOS 7
