FIRST QUARTER --
Broncos First Drive --
--Broncos get the ball first and have decent field position after Domenik Hixon caps off the best return of the year. We are underway!
--Need to see alot of that today -- Travis Henry carrying the rock!
--Three plays and three solid runs by Henry. I think we know what Shanny wants to do today!
--Travis Henry AGAIN! Already more yards than he had all of last week!! Broncos coming out with a purpose early
--Cutler has Marshall wide open and misses him...He isn't very accurate 5-10 yards from the line of scrimmage...
--A promising drive ends with a FG try. Elam drills it and the Broncos lead -- BRONCOS 3 - Colts 0
Colts First Drive --
--Marcus Thomas makes the first start of his career. Congrats!
--The Colts are the best in the business on third down and it will be important that the Broncos do a solid job
--The Colts pick up the first down, but I like the pursuit to the ball, especially by the linebackers...
--Great coverage down field forces Manning to dump it off...
--Great pressure by the front four to force Peyton into rushing the throw. Nearly perfect start for the young defensive line!
--Good job by Hixon, running up and grabbing the Hunter Smith punt.
Early Thoughts -- The youth along the D-Line looks great so far. A little 3-4, a little of Tim Crowder at tackle. I'm lovin' it!
Broncos Second Drive --
--Brandon Marshall DOES NOT go down with the first hit...EVER!
--Great block by Hixon downfield!! Travis henry is running with authority....
--This time it's Selvin Young for the first down. Ya think last week opened some eyes in Denver??
--Cutler is the only one so far that hasn't looked sharp....Big third down coming up!
--WHAT A PLAY CALL!!! Selvin Young on the delay goes 32 yards for a first and goal!
--Henry fumbles, but Lepsis comes up to saves the day! CAN'T SETTLE FOR FIELD GOALS!!!
--And they won't! 7-yards to Brandon Marshall! TOUCHDOWN BRONCOS!! BRONCOS 10 - Colts 0
--The Broncos have come to play today, and let's hope this is the offensive outburst we have been waiting for
Colts Second Drive --
--An assist to the Colts bench for nudging the official. No way that is a Personal Foul...Once again, however, the Broncos coverage team makes things hard on the defense.
--Not what the Colts want to see...Harrison is as classy as they come...
--The Broncos just can't get enough penetration to stop the 3rd and 1. Colts now 2/3 on third down..
--Glad to see Harrison back on the field...
--A Joseph Addai run for a first down ends the 1st Quarter....
