Broncos Country might just be able to breath a sigh of relief. After fearing the worst for most of the day, the Broncos may have dodged a major bullet in terms of injuries to RBs Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter. While no official word has come down, the feeling now around the Broncos complex is Knowshon will miss around 3 weeks with his hamstring injury, while Correll Buckhalter will miss about a week with an upper back injury.
It looked much worse for Moreno, who was first helped the the sideline after having his leg buckle while making a cut. The Broncos then brought the cart over to take Moreno into the locker room.
Minutes later, it was Buckhalter walking gingerly to the locker room. He was then transported to a local hospital after experiencing numbness in his left leg. Buckhalter was later released and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
In the end, one never really knows with leg injuries, especially hamstrings. 3 weeks is better than 6 weeks, or 6 months, however, so hopefully this will allow Knowshon to get back on the field in a hurry.
