Two games, or one-eighth of the 2010 NFL season is now in the books. Eight teams, or one-quarter of the league, remains undefeated. Three of the undefeated teams should come as no surprise, as they are perennial contenders: Pittsburgh, Green Bay, New Orleans. Five are somewhat less expected: Miami, Houston, Kansas City, Chicago and Tampa Bay. Eight teams, or one-quarter of the NFL have yet to win a game. Some of these teams probably do not come as any particular surprise: Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis. Some are somewhat more surprising: Dallas, Carolina, San Francisco and Minnesota.
The MHR staff predictions for Week 2 ranged from John's 10-5 record down to a 6-9 record. It was humbling to myself to not only predict fewer victors than the overwhelming majority of the staff, but to also lose out by two games to my twenty-two year old daughter. She is taking great delight in rubbing that one in. In any event, the ballots have been tallied and once again, John, Tim, Matt, Kirk, Ernesto, Troy and myself have made our picks for Week 3.
