AFC Championship Open Thread: Jets at Steelers

The Jets and Steelers play at 4:30 pm MST (6:30 pm EST) on CBS.

The playoff action isn't over, just yet. The Steelers and Jets will play for the second time this season, this time for a right to play the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl.

The first meeting saw the Jets victorious, winning 22-17 in Pittsburgh. The Steelers were down by 5 with 2:08 remaining on their own 8 yard line. They were able to drive to the Jets 10 yard line before the drive stalled and Ben Roethlisberger threw two incompletions to end the game. The Jets defense really stood tough during the game, most notably on a 4th quarter safety. That play changed the course of the game. Instead of needing only a field goal to tie the game, the Steelers were down 5 points and needed a touchdown on the final drive.

The Jets will, once again, travel to Heinz Field and attempt to steal another win from the Steelers. This time around, however, it will be a bit more challenging. The Steelers will have Troy Polamalu and Heath Miller in the game, both of which sat out in week 15 due to injury).
