After the 2009 season, if you would have said our best receiver would have the name Brandon, we would have though that Brandon Marshall would be with the Broncos. Little did we know that Brandon Lloyd, a guy who played 2 games in 2009, would be the Broncos only Pro Bowl player and the first Bronco in history to lead the NFL in receiving yards.
When we drafted a Demaryius Thomas in the first round of the draft, many thought he was going to be the future star receiver of this team, and he may be. We don't know yet. If it was not him it was supposed to be Jabar Gaffney, at least for this season after a strong performance in Week 17 of 2009 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
But than Brandon Lloyd came around.....
I am sure we had a few Brandon Lloyd fans but no one expected this, especially with the very mediocre numbers he put up in Chicago and San Francisco. I had no idea that Lloyd would be our deep threat this season, leading the league in plays of 40+ yards.
However, game after game, Brandon Lloyd was our most consistent player every game making his outstanding catches. I will make this statement right now. I have never seen a receiver with the body control that Brandon Lloyd has.
I don't wanna babble on about what I have seen from him because you all saw it too. Brandon Lloyd is a true elite number one reciever in this league and one of the few positives we can take from this season. If anyone should be leading the Broncos in jersey sales, it should be Brandon Lloyd, not Tim Tebow, and that is not meant as a shot at Tim.
Without further ado, check out what I spent many hours putting together so I could showcase to you, Mile High Report, and the rest of the word, our 2010 Pro Bowl receiver, Brandon Lloyd.
Enjoy.
