According to the Denver Broncos' official Twitter feed, the team will interview Atlanta Falcons' Offensive Coordinator Mike Mularkey this Friday in Atlanta for the team's Head Coaching vacancy. Mularkey was a Tight End in the NFL for 9 seasons before heading into coaching.
Mularkey has spent time as the Offensive Coordinator in Pittsburgh(2000-2003), then was the Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills from 2004-2006, when he resigned after the team brought back Marv Levy in a management role. He was 14-18 in his two seasons in Buffalo.
Mularkey then went on to Miami to be the OC for the Dolphins under Nick Saban. He was reduced to the TE coach role under Cam Cameron after Saban left for Alabama. In 2008, Mularkey was hired by the Atlanta Falcons to run their offense.
It will be the first 'official' interview for the Broncos. They are expected to formally interview interim Head Coach Eric Studesville on Monday, January 10.
