ROUND 7: Broncos' best cheerleader tournament

First of all, thanks to all who voted and congratulations to Lindy for winning Round Six of our cheerleader tournament. Also, another big Mile High Salute to Jessica for her showing. This was another near impossible decision but Lindy was able to pull away early and keep the lead.

For those of you who are new to this series, here's the usual introduction: I got the idea for this while visiting the Phinsider website. They were doing a short bracket of cheerleaders from around the league. I figured that wouldn't work for us though since we all know we have the best cheerleaders there are. So, I built bracket for the best of the best. To be fair, all entries were selected with a random number generator. I'd like to wrap this up on Super Bowl Sunday, so that means a new vote every 3 or 4 days. It doesn't matter how you vote, but I'll be giving the information and pictures from the Broncos' website. You can base your vote on who you perceive to be the biggest fan, whose personality you like the best or plain and simple looks (of course, the info will still probably have to play a part since they're all obviously 10s of course).

So, without further adieu, I present Round Seven of the tournament .

If you can't see the full bracket, just click on the picture. It should take you to the source image.

* If you're keeping track of this tournament, you may have noticed that this round is a day late. The reason for this is because one of the cheerleaders this week has me completely lost. To get the cheerleder's last names, I've been using the 2011 squad photo. This works fine for every cheerleader except one: Lindsey. Unfortunately, Lindsey isn't in the squad photo. Taking her place is Candace Wilson, a two year vet. I'm not sure when Candace disappeared from our lineup or why Lindsey took her place. In fact, her profile picture even spells her name Lindsay, so I'm totally lost. And after 24 hours of researching, I'm still coming up blank. If anyone else can figure this out or find Lindsey's full name, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.

Round Seven: Antonia "Toni" Damico versus Lindsey ????

Antonia "Toni" Damico

Toni has been a fan of football since she can remember, but she's only recently become a fan of the Broncos. This is her first season cheering for us. She's a graduate of the University of Minnesota, majoring in Communication Studies and is pursuing a modeling career .

Occupation and how does Broncos affect your work?

What is the most important attribute of a Denver Broncos cheerleader?
The most important attribute of a DBC is being genuinely passionate for what we do. We truly love dancing, being broncos fans, serving our community, supporting our troops, and being positive role models to young people. We are committed to what we do because we are so rewarded by it.

My most memorable experience was finding out that I had made the team. I was in total shock and my family was excited and proud! My life has changed so much since that day and it is a moment that I will never forget.

My parents are my greatest inspiration. They are incredibly self-less and care so much for the people around them. I know that they would do anything for me and they inspire me to put others first.

What is one thing about being a DBC that most people don't know?
Some people may not realize how accomplished we are outside of the DBC uniform. We are a group of working professionals and/or students and we try to live well-rounded and balanced lives.

Best advice to kids?
Set your goals high, give your best effort and you can accomplish your dreams.

What sports do you enjoy watching or playing?

1. I'd like to go back to school for an MBA and find a career that combines my interests in business and the environment.

Place you would most like to visit and why?
Greece. I took a Greek history class my freshman year of college and there is so much beauty and history there that I hope that I can see one day.

Who do you admire most in the sports industry?
I admire Shannon Sharpe. He broke records, won super bowls and is being inducted to the Hall of Fame this year, yet he remains very humble, gracious and family-oriented. I think that no matter what you accomplish you should always remember who has helped you get there, stay true to who you are and remember where you came from and I think Shannon Sharpe has done that.

What is the best thing about Broncos fans?
They know how to be loud and proud. Our fans make the stadium shake on game day and you can't find that sort of enthusiasm and passion in every stadium.

What book are you currently reading?
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.

In what charities or community service organizations are you most involved and why?
Denver Broncos cheerleading gives us the chance to be involved in a wide variety of community service organizations and charities, so we never have to pick just one! Besides our annual Keeping Kids on Track fundraiser which raises money for the Boys and Girls Clubs and The Tennyson Center, we are involved in numerous organizations across Colorado. We do everything from walks and races that benefit medical causes, to helping underprivileged community members, to supporting the military troops.

What is something about you that fans might not know?
I got my dancing genes from my grandpa. He owned a ballroom dance studio and would go out dancing almost every night.

Other people laughing… it can be so contagious. If your day is dragging and you need a "pick-me-up" search for Youtube videos of laughing babies and see what I mean!

How do you challenge yourself?
I try to challenge myself by doing things that are outside of my comfort zone. I want to live my life with no regrets and have as many experiences that I can and that means doing things that at first seem scary or challenging.

How do you spend your time in the offseason?
I spend as much time outside as possible enjoying the Colorado outdoors. I love snowboarding, camping, rock-climbing and hiking in the mountains. I also love the water, so in the summer I like wakeboarding, tubing, and relaxing on a boat.

In what area of your life have you achieved the most success?
I have had a lot of success in my dance career. I've been able to travel, compete, be involved in athletics, and participate in community service through my high school and college dance teams. Being an NFL cheerleader allows me to continue to do what I love on a much larger scale, and I feel thrilled and honored to be part of this team and the Broncos organization.

So Round Seven brings us a battle of rookies. One is new to the magic of the Broncos, while the other was lucky enough to be born into our great history. Once again, please feel free to add your opinions and any info you can find on these lovely ladies, and let me know if there's anything I can do to improve this series.

And I just want to say thank you again to MHR. My knowledge of football has expanded exponentially since I started coming to this site and I still find myself so far behind some of the great members here. I figured this contest would be a good way to give something back. Go Broncos!
