Demaryius Thomas Undergoes Surgery For Achilles Injury

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was scheduled to undergo surgery for his injured Achilles injury this morning according to, well, him:

Heading to surgery this morning.. everyone keep me in prAyers that it goes wellless than a minute ago via Twitter for Android

Thomas injured the tendon last week while working out in Georgia. It is the second off-season in a row that Thomas will have to focus on rehab instead of getting better as a football player. Last year - while preparing for the 2010 NFL Draft - Thomas suffered a broken bone in his foot. The injury kept Thomas out of the NFL Scouting Combine but did not keep the Broncos from using a 1st Round pick on the former Georgia Tech star.

Recovery time for Thomas has been projected to be 6-8 months, but no one really knows how long it will take Thomas to get back on the field.
