In a survey released by the NFL Players Association ranking the playing surfaces throughout the NFL, Invesco Field @ Mile High came in 9th of the 18 teams that play on natural grass. University of Phoenix Stadium(Arizona Cardinals) was tops on the list, followed by the Raymond James Stadium(Tampa Bay Buccaneers).
As for the AFC West, Qualcomm Stadium(San Diego Chargers) was 3rd, Arrowhead Stadium(Kansas City Chiefs) was 13th and the Oakland Coliseum(Oakland Raiders) was ranked 18th - dead last among natural grass surfaces.
As for the list of artificial surfaces, Lucas Oil Stadium(Indianapolis Colts) was tops, followed by Meadowlands Stadium(Ney York Jets, New York Giants) and then the Superdome(New Orleans Saints). Cowboys Stadium(Dallas Cowboys), where Super Bowl XLV was played on Sunday, was ranked 5th. I don't know about you, but the turf looked awful on Sunday, especially between the 40's where the Super Bowl logo was.
Ralph Wilson Stadium(Buffalo Bills) was ranked last among artificial turf fields.
