With the #24 Pick in the 2011 MHR Community Mock Draft, the New Orleans Saints Select DE/OLB Justin Houston, Georgia

From General Manager BroncoPitBull:  My initial desire was to draft a weapon for our high octane offense. However, we have more pressing needs to improve the defense and Justin Houston will be a great addition to the Saints Defense. Houston was chosen as his teams Defensive MVP in 2010. He will primarily be a Defensive End opposite Will Smith. This 6’3", 270 lb Butkus award finalist specializes in getting to the Quarterback. He's exceptionally quick and gets out of his stance in an instant. He gets an excellent jump off of the snap which gives him an immediate advantage when rushing the passer or trying to get into the backfield to disrupt the play or make the tackle. He wraps up when he tackles to ensure that he brings the ball carrier to the ground rather than just hitting the player and hoping he falls down like many other high round draft hopefuls. He plays with such intensity and can locate the ball quickly in his constant pursuit on the field. He ended up with 10 sacks and had consistent play and statistics in the last 2 seasons with the Bulldogs. After watching game film of this prospect I can understand why the other teams and fan base in the SEC are glad he isn’t playing next season. Welcome Justin to the WHO DAT Nation!

[Note:  Don't assign blame to BroncoPitBull for the delay in this pick.  He got it in in time, but I got called away unexpectedly for several days. -- Styg]
