From General Manager chkndnnr: With the 9th pick in the 2011 MHR Mock NFL Draft, the Cowboy's select Robert Quinn Outside Linebacker/DE, from North Carolina.
Prince would have been the pick but Quinn is a nice consolation prize. AJ Green was the other option but the reports of Cowboy's moving Dez are false & Miles Austin is a solid #2 WR.
Between Quinn & Ware there's not much coverage skills but heaven help the opposing QB's on passing downs w/these two flying off the edge. WIth Quinn & Green still available, trading back would have serious value, but we're the Cowboy's & we don't think that far ahead.
From the Commish
Sayre: I think the Cowboys really wanted to go with Amukamara here, so the Lions GM made a great move in moving up ahead of them. Interesting that the Cowboys would be selecting Quinn because he has drawn a lot of comparisons to current Cowboys pass rusher DeMarcus Ware. Quinn is a fantastic athlete and is very young. He has a ton of pass rushing skill, and would likely start off in a rotation for Dallas. The Cowboys could probably go a number of directions with this pick, and adding a pass rusher is not a bad idea.
