From General Manager Nick Cast:  This pick makes so much sense. So far, we have gotten Cameron Jordan as our 3-4 DE and Gabe Carimi as our RT. We have some major needs at our rush linebacker position. Ayers is a 1st round talent. He is a player with a lot of potential. There were some concerns about his speed, but he answered most of those questions with a 4.68 40 yard dash at his pro day. He is an intriguing prospect as a 3-4 rush backer. He's a fantastic athlete with a great closing burst. He is going to need some grooming in the pass defense, but he's a player we feel really good about. We think he has great potential and could really contribute to our defense.
