Defensive Tackle Depth
The Broncos nearly doubled the amount of defensive tackles on their roster with the addition of Ronnell Brown and Colby Whitlock, who join Mitch Unrein, Kevin Vickerson, and Louis Leonard.
Whitlock is probably the more prominent of the two players, but he faces an uphill battle to making the team. He's a heck of a hard worker though, starting nearly 50 games in his Texas Tech career and earning All Big 12 honors.
Brown is a smaller tackle prospect at 6'1" and about 285, but he threw up 30 bench reps at his pro day, and has some athletic ability to boot. He is a nice camp body.
Teammates Reunite
With the signing of quarterback Adam Weber, the Broncos have reunited one of the Big Ten's most illustrious passing duos. Weber joins the Broncos with former teammate and good friend Eric Decker, a third round pick from a year ago. Decker and Weber were like Batman and Robin in their years at Minnesota.
Weber joins the Broncos after starting 50 straight games for the Gophers, and he is a very interesting name to watch in camp. Maybe we'll get a nice shot of he and Decker reuniting this pre-season.
Super Mario
Mario Fannin is an excellent combination of size (5'11" 237) and speed (4.37), and he is one of the better receivers from the running back positions in this entire crop of rookies. He is going to have a good opportunity to play in Denver. He has good vision and a very strong lower body. If you're going to training camp, keep an eye out for him, I believe he is number 42.
Another player I really like from this crop is Adam Grant. He has had a lot of injury problems but he is a heck of a football player and is very talented. At 6'6" 325, he's a massive guy who was an All Pac 10 performer. He could be a really nice find, especially since we need offensive line depth.
