Cardinals Notes

  • Former Broncos D'Anthony Batiste, Vonnie Holliday, Hamza Abdullah and Mike Leach are now members of the Cardinals
  • David Carter is making a case for the starting job over former 1st round pick Dan Williams for starting nose tackle. Carter was a 6th round pick from UCLA while the veteran is struggling to get in shape.
  • Arizona is looking to replace Ryan Williams who is out for the season with a torn patellar tendon.
  • SS Adrian Wilson practiced last week for the 1st time since August 6th. He had a torn bicep tendon.
  • Last week, number five overall pick returned a 23 yards and returned an interception 34 yards for a touchdown last week
  • TE Rob Housler has been a major surprise in camp. He was a third round pick and has performed well.
  • RB Beanie Wells has played very well. He had 10 carries for 63 yards last week.
  • Larry Fitzgerald scored his 2nd touchdown of the preseason last week. it was an 80 yard catch and run and longest at University Phoenix Stadium

Injury Report

Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt has only ruled out Safety Adrian Wilson (biceps) for Thursday's game against the Broncos.

CB Michael Adams (knee) is Doubtful.

QB John Skelton (ankle), WR DeMarco Sampson (hamstring), RB Alfonso Smith (hamstring) and Tight End Rob Housler (groin) are Questionable.

Smith and Housler participated in practice on Tuesday, and both of them could definitely need the extra work, especially Smith, who is trying to prove he can be the 3rd Running Back
