Seven Denver Broncos Sit Out Wednesday Practice

Yet another bit of bad news to continue your week. Of the four players who had an MRI after the Monday Night Football loss to the Oakland Raiders, all four are missing practice today.

If they are unable to play against the Bengals, it will be that much more difficult to earn a win to put them at 1-1.

Most important, in my opinion, is the Brandon Lloyd injury. For an offense that barely got off the ground on Monday, to begin with, it would be a severe blow to have Kyle Orton's safety blanket out of the game. The Broncos' leading receiver told reporters that he had a "slight strain" in his groin and expects to play on sunday. Hopefully, him sitting out of practice, today, is just a precautionary action.

Elvis Dumervil and Champ Bailey are also important cogs for the Broncos defense. Their absence will be felt, as well, although I believe that Dumervil should be able to make the start on Sunday. Demaryius Thomas, Marcus Thomas and DJ Williams are still recovering from injuries sustained in previous weeks.
