Denver Broncos Week 5 Rookie Report

DEREK WOLFE - The Broncos first selection played 87 of 97 total snap in Sunday's game, his highest of the young season. Derek had 2 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Tackle For Loss and 1 Quarterback Hit. He has 7 Tackles and 2 Sacks for the year.

RONNIE HILLMAN - Hillman had a small role against the Pats. He had only three carries for nine yards and one reception for four yards. I personally would like to see the Broncos try to get him into space because he has the burst to get big yardage.

OMAR BOLDEN - Bolden had 3 kick returns for 61 yards. His longest return was 33 yards. He also had one solo tackle.

MALIK JACKSON - Malik Jackson had one tackle.

DANNY TREVETHAN - Danny Trevethan had 3 assisted tackles.

AROUND THE LEAGUE

ROBERT GRIFFIN - RG3 got injured after suffering a hard shot to his upper body that gave him concussion like symptoms. Before he left, he was not super impressive, although he was taking on a team that no team has found to be easy. Griffin was 10 for 15 for 91 yards.

ANDREW LUCK - Andrew Luck has shown a lot of athleticism. He had 6 runs for 24 yards and an excellent day passing the ball as well. He went 31-55 for for 362 yards and 2 TDs and 1 INT. Luck trailed 21-3 at half and lead the Colts to a comeback victory over the Packers.

RYAN TANNEHILL - Tannehill quietly had a nice day. He was 17 of 26 for 223 yards in a win over the Bengals.

RUSSELL WILSON - Wilson had 2 interceptions but lead the Seahawks to a win. He went 19 of 25 for for 221 yards and a touchdown as well. What are they putting in the water in college that has these Rookie QBs so ready to play?

TRENT RICHARDSON - Richardson had 17 carries for 81 yards and a score. Richardson was getting yards after contact and is proving to be worth the hype that made Cleveland take him so early in the draft.

ALFRED MORRIS - Alfred Morris continues to be compared to Terrell Davis. They do have similar stories. Nobody saw them exploding onto the scene like they did. Morris had 18 carries for 115 yards in week 5 and so far is the best runningback of this rookie class.

CHANDLER JONES - The Broncos got a heavy dose of Chandler Jones on Sunday. Is there any question that he has been the top rookie on defense so far? He had one assisted tackle but had a few QB hurries and hits.
