Denver Broncos Week 6 Rookie Report

The Broncos had a monster comeback win in week 6 with everyone contributing. How did the rookies do?

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

DEREK WOLFE - Derek Wolfe moved around the defensive line and had 3 tackles and a sack for a loss of 9. He is proving big time to be worth the second round pick the Broncos used on him. He played 75 of 79 plays.

RONNIE HILLMAN - Hillman only had 2 carries for 3 yards but stats don't show the improvement he made. Multiple times, he picked up a block on the blitz to allow Manning to complete the pass, which was what was keeping him out of the lineup. Hillman played 10 out of 59 offensive snaps.

OMAR BOLDEN - Omar Bolden had 2 tackles and one assisted tackle. He also had one fumble on a kick return that took a strange bounce which was part of what led to the huge deficit.

DANNY TREVATHAN - Danny Trevathan had a nice game against the run. In his first play on defense subbing in for Von Miller, he made a tackle. Trevathan had 3 tackles and one assist. In the pass he did not do as well. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed a 14 yard completion to Gates and a 12 yard completion to Ronnie Brown. 19 of the 25 yards were after the catch. He played 17 of 79 yards.

AROUND THE NFL

ROBERT GRIFFIN - If you have not heard of the game RG3 had this week, you probably are living under a rock. RG3 had a 70+ yard run for a touchdown and still looked like he had an extra gear. Somehow after a concussion he had that great performance leading the 'Skins to a win.

ANDREW LUCK - Andrew Luck had probably his most disappointing game as a rookie. I had big expectations from him passing against the Revis-less Jets. He was 22 of 44 for 280 yards and 2 interceptions. I still think he will turn out to be the best rookie out of the class.

CHANDLER JONES- Jones had 4 tackles, 5 assists, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble. He looks clearly like the best rookie defender in the NFL. He has 26 QB disruptions.

RUSSELL WILSON - Russell Wilson had his best half as a pro in the 2nd half against the Patriots. He overcame a large deficit and late threw a long touchdown pass to Sidney Rice to take the lead.

ALFRED MORRIS - 16 carries for 47 yards only but he did have a touchdown. Still the best looking rookie running back. TRENT RICHARDSON also had a quiet game as well only having 14 carries for 37 yards.

What have been your thoughts on our rookies? Who do you want to see more of?
