Greetings, one again, MHR!
The Broncos are on their bye week this weekend, so we'll just have to make due with some of the other match ups that the NFL provides us.
Tonight, for instance, we have a battle for the NFC West division, as the Seattle Seahawks travel to the San Francisco 49ers. Both teams bring top 5 defenses into tonight's match up. The 49ers are the number 1 defense in terms of yards allowed per game (275.8 yards/game) and the Seahawks are 4th overall (294.7 yards/game).
The Seahawks are fresh off a win over the New England Patriots. They pressured Tom Brady and put some crushing hits on Wes Welker to slow down the Patriots offense. They'll be facing a much different style of offense tonight. The 49ers rank first in the league in rushing yards per game with 179, but only 26th in passing yards per game. The Seahawks defense is 2nd in the league in rushing yards allowed (70 yards), behind only the Chicago Bears (65.8 yards).
Strength against strength.
Meanwhile, the 49ers defense will try to stop the Seahawks offense who comes into the game ranked 7th in rushing and 31st in passing.
If you like defense, this is the match up for you.
