For those of you who missed the Seventh match up, Candace ended up defeating Christina B. with 79 percent of the vote. It was an incredibly strong statement considering how well Christina performed last year. I think we can all expect much more from Candace in future rounds.
As always, I encourage voters to take a little bit of time and read the bios before voting (I know how distracting those wonderful pictures can be). It doesn't take long, and it can be extremely fascinating to get to know our squad. Also, more than once, my vote has been swayed by the information provided. And speaking of my vote, just like last year, if there is a tie, I will nullify my own vote declaring the other cheerleader the winner (this actually happened).
But, without further adieu, lets get down to business.
If you can't see the full bracket, just click on the picture. It should take you to the source image.
Match 8 of Round 1: Lindy vs. Christina C.
Lindy
This is Lindy's fourth season cheering for us. From Arvada, she is currently pursing her graduate degree from the University of Colorado. She made it past the first round in last year's contest, defeating Jessica. In the second round last year, she fell short by only 13 votes falling to Lauren. (By the way: she has another great answer to the who she would like to eat dinner with question this year.)

Christina C.
Christina C. is another newcomer to our tournament who wasn't in last year's contest. This is her third year cheering for us. This University of Colorado at Denver grad works as a paralegal and I think we can all say welcome back! (By the way: She is one of the first cheereladers I've seen whose most memorable game wasn't one that she was cheering in).
What is the best thing about being a Broncos Cheerleader?
Being part of such a positive and inspiring organization, interacting with the fans, and having the opportunity to become part of a family of so many beautiful, talented, and genuinely kind women.
What is your most memorable experience?
Performing for the troops has been the best part of being a Broncos Cheerleader! I had the opportunity to perform for our troops in Guam, at the Ft. Hood military base in Killeen, Texas, and for the American and Australian troops in Alice Springs, Australia. Seeing all of the service men and women and being able to thank them in person for everything they do for our country has by far been the best experience that I've had as a cheerleader!

I spend my time in the offseason snowboarding and hanging out with friends and family. Truth be told, though, there really is no such thing as "offseason" as we have to continuously work on our dance and fitness training year-round.
What was your most memorable game as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader?
Although I wasn't a cheerleader at the time, Superbowl XXXII when the Broncos beat the Green Bay Packers 31-24 is definitely my most memorable Broncos game! I will never forget watching that game with my dad and running outside banging pots and pans after we won!

What do you do in your spare time to relax?
Spend time with my family and friends, go to the mountains, workout, and read.
What is your best advice to kids?
Follow your own dreams and follow your own heart. Don't make life choices based on what you think other people want you to do. Anything is possible if you just believe in yourself and work hard! Don't pay attention to the superficiality in the world. You are perfect the way God made you. Be grateful for all that you have, and always be kind and courteous to everyone that you meet.

The unconditional love and support of my family. I wouldn't be who I am today without them.

We can't go wrong on this one, but one of them has to be eliminated. As always, please feel free to add your opinions and any info you can find on these lovely ladies, and let me know if there's anything I can do to improve this series. Go Broncos!
