Thursday Night Football Open Thread: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings

New, comments

Tonight, the 2-4 Buccaneers face the 5-2 Minnesota Vikings at Mall of America Field in Minneapolis.

Adrian Peterson ran for 153 yards last week against the Cardinals, his top performance of the season. A similar performance would do wonders tonight against the Buccaneers defense who is ranked 3rd in the league against the run. It might take a little bit more from Christian Ponder and Percy Harvin to come away with a win, though. The Bucs rank 31st against the pass, despite Ronde Barber playing outstanding football on the back end.

On the other end, Vincent Jackson will look to make nice with his fantasy owners across the nation after being chased down at the 1 yard line last week after catching a 95 yard bomb from Josh Freeman.

It'll be interesting to see who comes out on top in this one. You'd think that it would be the Vikings with their 5-2 record, but it's quite a shaky 5 win team because of their inconsistency getting points on the board outside of Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson.
