On This Day in Broncos History: Halloween

What is the Broncos least-favorite holiday?

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

October 31 -- Halloween -- is quite likely the least favorite holiday of the Denver Broncos. They have played eight games on Halloween and won but a single contest. That single win came in 1993 when Denver hosted the Seattle Seahawks. Wade Phillips was the Head Coach, Jim Fassel the Offensive Coordinator and Charlie Waters the Defensive Coordinator.

The Broncos powered past the visitors on the strength of a 21-point second quarter (a 20-yard John Elway to Vance Johnson pass, a 2-yard Robert Delpino run and a 5-yard Elway to Shannon Sharpe pass) along with a defensive performance that included 4 sacks (2 by Shane Dronett) and 2 interceptions (Tyrone Braxton and Charles Dimry).
