The 3-4 Philadelphia Eagles face the 2-5 New Orleans Saints in New Orleans, tonight. The game should be exciting, but it's bound to be overshadowed by the news that broke today on Sean Payton. The NFL voided his contract extension, meaning that Sean Payton will be a free agent coach at the end of this season.

What does this mean?

This means that teams like the Dallas Cowboys are going to be throwing money at Payton, hoping he'll bite. Certainly, Sean Payton could just restructure another deal with the Saints, but the media circus is already rolling into town in anticipation of what will happen next.

As far as the game tonight, the Eagles are coming off a loss to the Atlanta Falcons and the Saints are coming off a loss to your very own Denver Broncos. Neither team is in the thick of playoff contention, but if they want a prayer for making the playoffs, they have to win tonight.
