Trindon Holliday Wins AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

The newest Denver Bronco Trindon Holliday has already made a large impact and was noticed by the NFL.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Trindon Holliday will be named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the National Football League informed the Broncos on Wednesday.

Holliday recorded a 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Denver's 31-23 win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9 to represent the longest play in franchise history. The return, which came on the opening kickoff of the second half, gave Denver a 17-3 lead and helped propel the Broncos to their third consecutive win.

The recognition represents the first such honor of Holliday's career and the 23rd all-time AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award in team history.

On October 11, the Denver Broncos claimed Holliday off of waivers from the Houston Texans.

Holliday was known for his blazing speed that he had at his small body size, coming in at a mere 5'5. In fact, Trindon Holliday is the shortest player in the NFL and the shortest player to ever play for the Broncos.

In his previous couple games for the Broncos, he was getting small chunks and even fumbled the ball once. However, you could see flashes of the speed he possessed and it was only a matter of time before something magical happened.

The loss of Eddie Royal left people wondering who would fill his spot in return duties. The Broncos had struggled to find someone who had the ability to make the big play but it appears they may have found their guy.
