Fantasy Football: The Extra Point Poll

This week's Extra Point poll!

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

This week's edition of The Extra Point Poll presented by XFINITY is here. The season is winding down and there are only a few playoff spots left with pivotal divisional matchups ruling the weekend. Before we delve into this week's poll participants, here are the top Twitter stories leading in to the weekend games.

The @Bengals and @steelers face off with a playoff spot in both of their grasps. It's a must win in December...as it should be.

Can @AdrianPeterson reach 2k rushing yards this week? @VikingsFootball has more to play for then a record in Houston.

Who needs this win more? The @Giants or the @ravens? Both are playoff caliber teams, trying to end their losing skids.

The previously maligned NFC West may surprisingly produce two playoff teams. This week, the @Seahawks and @49ers want to make a statement on #SNF.

Last week the focus was on a pair of slot receivers - Broncos WR Eric Decker or Patriots WR Wes Welker to determine who would have the most receiving yards in Week 15. Eric Decker finished with the bigger game between the two receivers. Decker caught 8 of 11 targets for 133 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos 34-17 win over the Ravens. While Welker caught 5 of 9 targets for 56 yards and no touchdowns in the Patriots 41-34 loss to the 49ers. Patriots QB Tom Brady led a big comeback on Sunday Night Football, but seemed to prefer other targets over Welker throughout the night.

In this week's Extra Point Poll presented by XFINITY, we feature two running backs looking to help their teams secure playoff berths: Redskins RB Alfred Morris and Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch. Morris, who will be facing the Eagles in Philadelphia, runs against a defense which gives up the 11th fewest fantasy points to running backs. Lynch will be at home to face the tough 49ers defense on Sunday Night Football. The San Francisco defense gives up the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, and ranks 2nd in the NFL against the run. This should be a tough matchup for Lynch. However, the Seahawks are flying high after back to back 50 point games.

Which running back will have the most rushing yards in Week 15: Alfred Morris or Marshawn Lynch?
