A Christmas Gift From the Broncos

December 25, 2004 - The Broncos gave their fans a gift on Christmas day in 2004 by beating down the Tennessee Titans 37-16. Denver traveled to Nashville and simply dominated the Titans. The Broncos out-rushed Tennessee 193 yards to 59. They out-passed the Titans 303-137. QB Jake Plummer threw touchdown passes to RB Reuben Droughns (23 yards) and WR Rod Smith (7 yards). Droughns also rushed for two touchdowns (8 yards and 23 yards). Jason Elam added three field goals (22, 22 and 30 yards). The Broncos defense sacked Titan QBs six times -- three by Reggie Heyward, one each by Ellis Johnson and Anton Palepoi while Mario Fatafehi and Al Wilson shared a sack. Kelly Herdon intercepted a pass.
