Five Broncos Named to 2013 Pro Bowl

Manning, Miller and Bailey tabbed as starters

USA TODAY Sports

The National Football League announced the results of the Pro Bowl voting today and five Denver Bronco players made the cut. Quarterback Peyton Manning, Left Tackle Ryan Clady, Defensive End Elvis Dumervil, Linebacker Von Miller and Cornerback Champ Bailey. Manning, Miller and Bailey were named as starters.
It is the 12th time for Peyton Manning, the most for a Quarterback in AFC/NFC Pro Bowl history. It is also the 12th time for Champ Bailey, the most selections all-time for a Defensive Back. (Can you say Hall of Fame?)
Elvis Dumervil and Ryan Clady will be making their 3rd Pro Bowl appearances and Von Miller his second.
The AFC South champion Houston Texans lead the American Football Conference All-Star squad with a conference-best eight All-Stars. Right behind the Texans are the New England Patriots with seven All-Stars and the Baltimore Ravens with six.
The Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday January 27, 2013 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Bronco fans will believe rightly that Wide Receiver Demaryius Thomas was slighted. In this day and age the NFL is a passing league. There should be more than 4 Wide outs in the selection process. However, the point may end up being moot if the Broncos represent the AFC at the Super Bowl in New Orleans anyway.
