The Denver Broncos (12-3) will wrap up their regular-season schedule when they host the Kansas City Chiefs (2-13) at Sports Authority Field. Kickoff on Sunday is scheduled for 2:25 p.m. MST. Last Week the Chiefs were defeated by the Indianapolis Colts 20-13 at Lucas Oil Stadium, while the Broncos routed the Cleveland Browns 34-12 at Mile High.
The Broncos possess the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff race and a win vs. Kansas City coupled with a Houston loss or tie would secure the No. 1 seed and Home field for the postseason. Denver has won 10-straight games after starting the season 2-3.
BROADCAST: The game will be aired nationally on CBS. Ian Eagle will call the game with Dan Fouts providing the color commentary. Check the Broadcast Map to see if the game will be telecast in your area.
WEATHER: The projected forecast for Sunday’s contest is calling for Mostly Sunny skies with a high of 39 and a low of 13f.
ODDS: The Broncos are favored by 16 points with the Over/Under set at 42.
SERIES: The Chiefs hold a 56-48 edge in the regular series between these two teams going all the way back to 1960, only the Chiefs were known as the Dallas Texans at that time. As the Texans, they beat the Broncos all six times the two met. So in reality, the season records are all even at 48-48.
Denver has won 5 of the past 8 meetings and 8 of the last 10 at Mile High. The Broncos are 32-20 at Home against the Chiefs. The last game between these two teams went Denver’s way 17-9. Peyton Manning passed for 285 yards and 2 TDs and Knowshon Moreno added 111 scrimmage yards (85 rush, 26 rec.). Kansas City head coach Romeo Crennel is 1-3 vs. Denver and Broncos head coach John Fox is 4-1 against the Chiefs.
