A Career Day for a Sophomore Running Back

December 8, 1974 - Second-year Denver RB Otis Armstrong recorded a career high 183 yards rushing in a 37-14 rout of the Houston Oilers. He averaged 5.9 yards per carry. He also scored a career high 3 touchdowns in that game. He ran for 113 yards and a touchdown in the first half. Then he added 70 more yards and 2 touchdowns in the second. His touchdown runs were of 10, 12 and 15 yards. This game was his 6th 100-yard game of the 1974 season -- he ended the season with 7 100-yard games.
