The wait is over, Broncos fans. You have your answer. Peyton Manning, 11 time pro bowler, 6 time AFC player of the year, Super Bowl winner and MVP, former Indianapolis Colt and future Hall of Famer, will be a Denver Bronco for the 2012 season. Last week, Peyton Manning met with the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, he also met with the San Franscisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans. Peyton Manning is the biggest chip to fall in this new league year. The Arizona Cardinals cut Levi Brown and the Dolphins traded Brandon Marshall, presumably to increase the odds of landing Peyton Manning.
The Broncos, however, were the best fit for Peyton Manning. John Elway got his pocket passer and Peyton Manning inherited a playoff team. It's a win-win.
Manning figures to be the Broncos starter going into the preseason. What this means for Tim Tebow is yet to be determined, but his future as a Denver Bronco just got a bit more cloudy.
UPDATE:
Manning has asked his agent Tom Condon to begin negotiations. According to Adam Schefter and Albert Breer the Broncos will begin looking for potential trade partners for Tim Tebow after they agree to terms with Manning.
