Former Denver Broncos CB Perrish Cox Found Not Guilty

The long and incredibly ugly saga of the Perrish Cox rape trial is now over. Cox was found not guilty on two counts of sexual assault in a Douglas County courtroom earlier this morning.

Cox had been charged one count of sexual assault while the victim was physically helpless and one count of sexual assault while the victim was incapable of determining the nature of the conduct.

While the sordid details of the night in question are exceptionally distasteful, we can only hope that this serves as a lesson not only to Cox, but to the other Broncos currently on the roster. Demaryius Thomas and Cassius Vaughn don't come away from this indecent looking squeaky clean by any means. Let's hope that they make better decisions here in the future with what they do with their free time and with the company they keep.

Cox was released by the Broncos in September of 2011 and is now a free agent. He will likely draw attention from more than a few teams.
