Friday afternoon, Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post reports that the team released veteran corner back Andre Goodman.
Andre Goodman has played three seasons with the Broncos after signing as a free agent in Josh McDaniels first season. Goodman totaled 40 starts in his three years with Denver and grabbed seven interceptions, missing only one start.
Goodman last season had two interceptions that were part of large wins. Against the Jets he returned an interception for a touchdown to give the Broncos a lead and against the Vikings he picked off Christian Ponder to ice the game.
The move does not come as a surprise to most as the team had signed younger corner back Tracy Porter to take the backup spot to Champ Bailey with Chris Harris playing the nickle role. The Broncos still reportedly have an interest in the corner spot and have Dre Kirkpatrick on their short list according to a report.
