The Denver Broncos are having company this afternoon. University of Colorado alum and former Bronco Defensive Tackle Justin Bannan is inquiring after employment at Dove Valley today. You may recall, in 2010 Bannan signed a 5-year, $22 Million contact. He played the year out and was then released before the Lockout as a cost cutting measure.

Justin started all 16 games for the Broncos in 2010, making 35 Tackles and one Sack. He batted down 4 passes and Forced a Fumble. If he signs with Denver again, the Broncos would inherit an immediate starter. Especially with the unknowns of Ty Warren and Kevin Vickerson injury-wise. Ryan McBean is still up for suspension even though litigation will decide that. Last years starter Brodrick Bunkley, followed the money to the Big Easy and will suit up for the Saints in 2012.

Marcus Thomas is said to be considering offers from 3 teams including the Broncos. Another name that has been in the mix is Amobi Okoye. Earlier today it was reported that the Chicago Bears are no longer an option for Okoye and that he is, "going in a different direction." The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengal and the Broncos are all interested in Okoye and the Bucs seem to be leading the pack.

I think this would be a good signing for Denver. Justin will be 33 in a few weeks, so it won't be a lengthy contract. He loves the area and since he showed up today, you have to figure that he has forgiven the team for handing him his walking papers last March.

Go Broncos!
