NFL Power Rankings Week 3: Where do the Broncos Rank Across the Web?

Presswire

The Broncos ranked in the top 10 last week all around the web but after a loss in which the Broncos did not perform up to the standards we have set for them, it will be an interesting look at the power rankings this week.

NFL.com Elliott Harrison- 12 (Last week: 8)

Monday Night's game was underwritten on the first three drives when Peyton Manning tossed three picks. While brother Eli pulled off a comeback after three first-half picks of his own, he wasn't on the road against one of the NFC's best teams.

Yahoo! Sports: 11

Denver did well to rally back from one terrible half of football. I wouldn't count on Peyton Manning throwing three picks in under ten passes again this season.

SB Nation: 11 (Last week: 7)

So Peyton Manning isn't back? The Broncos' quarterback threw three first quarter interceptions on a Monday night, putting his team in a hole only a few minutes into the game. He'll be fine, but this is a good reminder that he's a 36 year old QB who had played one regular season game in 600+ days before Monday night. These games will happen.

Fox Sports: Brian Billick: 12 (Last week: 11)

The Broncos were the first team since 2002 to have four turnovers in the first quarter, including three Peyton Manning interceptions on the first three possessions, and they still only lost by six points.

CBS Sports: Pete Prisco: 13 ( Last week: 9)

Don't dare do it. That is, wish for Tim Tebow to come back. Peyton Manning just had a bad quarter against Atlanta. He will be fine.

Pro Football Talk: 10

The rest of the league will be thanking the Falcons for providing the blueprint for beating Peyton Manning.

What do you guys think of these rankings? I think the range that is has is pretty accurate. I disagree with PFT about the blueprint. Manning just had a bad quarter. It'll be fine. If the worst thing that happens to us is losing a non-conference road game then we are looking good.
