Andy Reid is seeing red. After 14 seasons in Eagles green, the former head coach in Philly has two interviews scheduled this week - with the Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals. There was mad speculation on Tuesday that Reid all but had a deal to take over in Arizona.
Not so fast, my friend.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Reid will meet with Chiefs officials in Philadelphia on Wednesday before leaving for Arizona.
In reality, this could just be a case of Reid covering all his bases. There is little doubt that the Cardinals job is more attractive on the field. Sure, they have issues at quarterback - Reid did draft Kevin Kolb, however, and knows what he can and can't do - but the Cardinals have an elite defense and an elite receiver in Larry Fitzgerald.
The Chiefs, on the other hand, are a train wreck at quarterback and while there are solid pieces in place in KC, they seem to be much farther away that Arizona.
Stay tuned, these things seem to change second by second.
