Peyton Manning Wins AFC Offensive Player Of The Week

The Broncos star QB won the Broncos their eighth weekly award of the season.

Denver Broncos star quarterback Peyton Manning capped off the Broncos memorable season leading the team to a 13-3 record, second consecutive AFC West Championship, and the top seed in the AFC.

After the Broncos drubbing of the Kansas City Chiefs in week 17, Manning has been awarded the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award. Manning won the award despite only three quarters of play. Manning's stat line was 23 for 29 passing for 304 yards and three touchdowns.

Peyton Manning's 2012 season made him the single-season record holder in completions (400), passing yards (4,659), completion percentage (68.6) touchdowns (37) and passer rating (105.9).

This is the 23rd time Manning has had this accolade to his name which ties him with Tom Brady of the Patriots for most all time. It is the 48th time the Broncos have won this award and the third time this season. The Broncos had eight players of the week awards this season which led the NFL.
