Whoever thought one could feel disappointed by a 16 point drubbing of an inferior foe? Well, that's exactly how most Denver Broncos fans felt after a poor outing by Peyton Manning and company against the hapless Jacksonville Jaguars.
Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs put it on the Oakland Raiders in a major beatdown. Yet, they only won by 17, not much difference than the Broncos win. Why, then, does it feel like the Broncos had a poor performance and the Chiefs a great one? I'll tell you why, its because the Broncos are the best team in the football and many still expect the Chiefs to fall flat on their faces at any moment.
And that, my friends, is why the Chiefs will continue for another week as a bridesmaid of the AFC West. They are still 6-0 and the only other unbeaten team in the league, so they have earned the spot they've been placed.
As for the rest of the rankings, I had to keep it short as I was out of town and offline all weekend and only watched a few games this weekend. That trip also put me behind in my normal routine, which is why this weeks format is a little different than in previous weeks. I will get back on it next week for sure.
Let's see how things got blown up this week in my NFL Rankings. Check out last week's power rankings here.
