The 4-0 Denver Broncos head down to Dallas to take on "America's Team" the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. This should be a good matchup for the Broncos, so lets take a look at the guys who you should start, and who you should sit.
Quarterback:
Peyton Manning: START
It's really a no brainer at this point. If you have Peyton Manning, you should always be starting him. According too Yahoo Sports Peyton Manning Is projected to get 30.82 points. Also the Dallas Cowboys defense has given up the 3rd most fantasy points to QB's this year. Manning Is a high end QB1
Bottom Line: Start Manning!!
Running Back:
Knowshon Moreno: START
Knowshon is having a solid season for the Broncos thus far. Last week against the Eagles Moreno totaled 15.10 points last week. Yahoo Sports predicts Moreno to get 9.25 this week. The Dallas defense has given up the 15 fewest points to running backs this year. Moreno looks to be a solid RB2 or Flex option this weekend.
Ronnie Hillman/Montee Ball/C.J Anderson: SIT
Hillman has seen an increased amount of touches lately, and did have a 13.50 point performance against the Raiders two weeks back, but i would stash him on your bench for now. I would only start him if you're desperate at the flex, or if your starters have a bye week this week.
Montee Ball has been useless thus far in the fantasy world. I would still stash him on your bench just incase Moreno gets injured.
Since I keep getting C.J Anderson questions every week I'll include him. Anderson will only be active If one the backs get injured. He has zero fantasy value right now.
Bottom Line: Moreno looks to be the clear starter for the Broncos at RB. I'm still cautious about him. Hillman and Ball have stolen some goal line carries from Moreno in the past weeks. However, with the Broncos scoring 35+ points a week there's plenty of scoring opportunities to go around. Hillman and Ball both should be on your bench.
Wide Receiver.
Demaryius Thomas: START
Thomas is coming off a two touchdown performance against the Eagles, and have a good matchup against a weak Dallas secondary. Yahoo Sports projects Thomas to get 12.41 points this week. Thomas Is a high end WR1 this week.
Eric Decker: START
Decker had a solid 5 catch 88 yard performance against the Eagles. This week Yahoo Sports projects Decker to get 11.78 points. Decker is a high-end WR2 this weekend against the Cowboys.
Wes Welker: START
Welker has caught a touchdown in every game played this season. Last sunday Welker had a very solid 7 catch for 76 yard performance against the Eagles. This week Yahoo Sports projects Welker to get 11.98 points against the Cowboys. Welker is a high end WR2 this weekend.
Bottom Line: With the pace that Manning Is on I would start all three of his receivers. Any of the three can break out for a multi-touchdown performance.
Tight End:
Julius Thomas: START
Thomas only scored 4.30 points last weekend against the Eagles, but has a solid matchup against the Dallas defense that was rocked by Antonio Gates last week. Yahoo Sports projects Thomas to get 8.15 points against the Cowboys. The Cowboys have given up the 7th most fantasy points to tight ends this year.
Bottom Line: With the pace that Peyton Manning Is on I would start all of his weapons if possible. This goes for Thomas who has a favorable matchup against a Dallas defense.
Defense/Special Teams:
Denver: START
Yahoo Sports projects the Broncos defense/special teams to get 8.53 points this weekend. The Dallas Cowboys have given up the 5th fewest points to defenses this year.
Bottom Line: It will be a tough matchup for the defense, but Tony Romo has his moments, and probably will throw a few Interceptions. Also the Cowboys Offensive line isn't very good. Also the Broncos special teams has been great so far this season. Trindon Holliday can take one to the house whenever he touches the ball, and the Broncos have two blocked punts so far this year.
