In the Hunt:

Outside of Jacksonville and Houston, the rest of the AFC is within 1.5 games of each other. The Jets occupy the #6 seed at the moment due to the divisional tie-breaker over Miami. At this point, the #6 seed is up for grabs and any one of nine teams has a legit shot at laying claim to it.

Broncos Control Destiny

Win out and the road to the super bowl will come through Denver. Win the next two, and there is a 99.9% chance the road to the super bowl will come through Denver.

If the Broncos are going to drop a game, this is the week to do it. Thanks to a New England loss yesterday, the Broncos hold a two game edge in the standings. The Broncos could afford to lose this game so long as they take care of business in KC and win out.

If you look at the contenders' remaining games, KC probably has the toughest road with four divisional games and a battle against Indianapolis.

The Broncos find themselves in position to write their playoff ticket. That is a much better position than rooting for other teams to do your work for you.

The quest for homefield advantage and a 1st round playoff bye continues this week in NE.

My early thoughts? Broncos in a shootout.

GO BRONCOS!!!
