Broncos Players to Host Charity Bowling Tournament on December 14th

Denver Broncos stand outs tight end Julius Thomas, safety Duke Ihenacho, lineman Mitch Unrein, kicker Matt Prater and long snapper Aaron Brewer have been working hard on the football field this season to complete their mission of reaching a Super Bowl after last year's heart breaking loss.

On Saturday, December 14th, these athletes will turn their attention to the lanes at Brunswick Zone in Wheat Ridge as they will host and be joined by several teammates for the Orange & Blue Bowling Bash benefiting Make-A-Wish Colorado. Professional Bowling Association star Sean Rash will also be in attendance to sign autographs and perform trick shots with participants.

The event will feature two different bowling sessions. The first beginning at 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The second session will start at 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm has already sold out all 40 lanes. Spectators are welcome to come out to see their favorite players bowl for a great cause.

Net proceeds generated by this star-studded event will benefit Make-A-Wish Colorado, a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Admission is $35 per person or $175 for a lane of (up to) six bowlers. Admission includes three games of bowling, pizza, soft drinks, goody bags, t-shirt, shoe rental and bowling prizes for top scores. The spectator fee is $15 per person. Joe Allen, the Founder/CEO of Strikes For Kids, created the non-profit organization to partner professional athletes with benefiting children's organizations around the United States . "The main things we try to share at our events are having fun, being comfortable and providing accessibility to the athletes that these fans root for every Sunday," Allen said in a press release about the event.

This is the first Strikes For Kids charity event held in Denver. Strikes For Kids looks forward to coming back each year to the market as they have been very supportive of this event. We used to hold events just on the West Coast, but with their gaining popularity, we have decided to take them nation-wide. They have been a huge hit in communities around the country," Allen said. The organization has hosted bowling events, comedy shows, charity dinners and other fun fundraisers throughout the country.
