Mile High Report has learned that it is not looking good for Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas to play tonight in New England.
Granted at this point we have quite awhile before Sunday night, but MHR is not alone in these reports:
TE Julius Thomas is 50-50 to play tonight vs. Patriots. If he can't play, here's what Broncos would do: http://t.co/VOh0SHROnK

And:
#Broncos expect a decision on TE Julius Thomas (knee) this morning. Still up in the air. Heard last night "it’s not looking good."

Thomas has been banged up this entire week, being listed as limited in both Thursday and Friday's practices.
If he cannot go, Joel Dreessen will fill in for Thomas immediately, which will create a boost to the Denver run game. Tight end Jacob Tamme can split out when the play call requires it.
