Broncos Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Week 10

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The Broncos head into week 10 of the NFL season with a 7-1 record. This weekend the Broncos travel to San Diego to take on their division rival San Diego Chargers. The Chargers head head into week 10 with a 4-4 record. This should be a good matchup for the Broncos, so lets take a look at the guys who you should start, and who you should sit.

Quarterback:

Peyton Manning: START

Peyton Manning has been a beast this year. Whether it be on the field, and in the fantasy world. If you're lucky enough to have Manning on your roster you better be starting him every week. This week Manning has a very solid matchup against the Chargers. The Chargers have given up the 10th most fantasy points to QB's this season. According to Yahoo Sports Manning is projected to get 31.30 points. Manning is an elite QB1 this week.

Running Back:

Knowshon Moreno: START

Moreno has been a very good fantasy back this season. Moreno has 9 total touchdowns this year (8 on the ground, 1 through the air). It is hard to sit a guy with that stat line, but it won't be an easy matchup for Moreno. The Chargers defense has allowed the 9th fewest points to running backs this year. However, the Chargers defense is giving up a rush TD per game on average, and Moreno has been very productive. So I think Moreno is worth a start. Yahoo Sports projects Moreno to total 14.95 points this weekend. Moreno is a solid RB 1, an elite RB2, and a elite Flex option this week.

Montee Ball/C.J Anderson: Sit/Flex

Montee Ball is the backup to Knowshon Moreno, and could steal some goal line carries, and potentially a touchdown. So if your roster has suffered some injuries at Running Back, or some of your starters have a bye week Ball could be a sneaky plug and play guy this week. Yahoo Sports projects Ball to get 5.57 points this week.

Much like Ball, 225+ pound rookie running back C.J Anderson could get some goal line carries this week as well. Anderson saw some action before the bye week against Washington, and look pretty good in limited action. Anderson carried the ball 4 times for 22 yards. So If you have some injuries, or a few backs on a bye week, Anderson could be a sneaky play. Yahoo Sports projects Anderson to get 2.73 points this week.

Receiver:

Demaryius Thomas: START

DT is a easy start week in and week out. Thomas is the Broncos number one option in the passing game, and their big play guy. Thomas has had some down weeks fantasy wise, but then breaks out for a multiple touchdown game. Thomas does face a good matchup this weekend though. The San Diego defense allows the 7th most fantasy points to receivers this year. According to Yahoo Sports Thomas is projected to get 11.25 points this week. Thomas is a solid WR 1 this week.

Eric Decker: START

It's pretty simple, if you're a starter on the Broncos offense you're starting. Peyton Manning has been getting the ball to all his targets thus far this season. As I mentioned before San Diego has given up the 7th most fantasy points to receivers this year. According to Yahoo Sports Decker is projected to get 10.63 points against the Chargers. Decker is a solid WR2/Flex this week.

Wes Welker: START

Welker is averaging a touchdown reception per game this season. Welker is Manning's go to guy in the red zone, and third down it seems. He's an easy start If you ask me. Yahoo Sports is projecting 12.21 points for Welker this weekend

Tight End:

Julius Thomas: START

While I would start Thomas, I would be a little cautious. Thomas is coming off an ankle injury two weeks ago, and has had issues with injuries in his past. If you have another solid option I would consider going with them incase Thomas aggravates his ankle this weekend. Also the Chargers have been stingy against Tight Ends this seasons. They have allowed the 9th fewest points to TE's this season. According to  Yahoo Sports Thomas is projected to get 9.53 points

Defense/Special Teams

Denver D/ST: START

While the Denver D does give up points the amount of sacks, and interceptions they get makes up for it. San Diego's offense is unpredictable as well. Also the Broncos special teams has been solid as well. Return stud Trindon Holliday is due for a big kick off return or punt return. Yahoo Sports projects the Denver Defense/ST to get 6.83 points this week.
